Bhumi lets local farms connect directly with customers nearby. This guide walks you through creating an account, completing your farm profile, and publishing your listing so customers can find you on the map.

Go to bhumifarms.co/farms and create an account with your email address. You’ll use this account to manage your farm dashboard, products, and orders.
If your farm is already in the Bhumi database (added from public directory data), Bhumi may suggest it to you automatically when you sign up using your farm’s email domain. You can claim it rather than creating a new listing from scratch.

Create your farm profile

Once signed in, you’ll be guided through a three-phase onboarding wizard. Your progress is saved automatically between sessions, so you can pause and come back at any time.

Phase 1 — Tell us about your farm

1

Farm name

Enter the name of your farm exactly as you want it to appear publicly.
2

Farm type

Choose the type of operation that best describes your place — for example, a working farm, a market garden, a ranch, or a CSA.
3

Products

Select the product categories you sell. This helps Bhumi surface your farm to customers searching for specific products. You can add individual products with prices and details later from your dashboard.
4

Location

Enter your farm’s address. Bhumi uses this to place your pin on the consumer map and to surface your farm in local searches. Your full address is stored privately; only your city and state appear publicly unless you choose to show more.

Phase 2 — Make your listing shine

1

Photos

Upload photos of your farm, animals, crops, or products. Farms with complete profiles and photos receive significantly more views. You can add more photos later from the Photos section of your dashboard.
2

Story

Write a short description of your farm — who you are, how you farm, and what makes your operation unique. You can also add a tagline that appears prominently on your listing.
3

Farming practices

Select the practices that describe your operation, such as pasture-raised, 100% grass-fed, organic, or no antibiotics. Each practice has a specific definition — only select what you can honestly verify.
Practices you select are displayed as Self-Reported until verified by Bhumi. Misrepresenting your practices may result in your listing being flagged or removed.

Phase 3 — Get ready for customers

1

Contact info

Add your phone number, email, website, and social media handles (Instagram, Facebook). Customers can see and use this information to reach you.
2

Hours

Set your weekly hours for each day. Customers will see when you’re open for on-farm visits or pickup.
3

Delivery and payment

Choose which fulfillment options you offer:
  • Farm pickup — customers come to you
  • Local delivery — you deliver within your area
  • Farmers market — you sell at a market location
  • Online orders — accept orders through Bhumi
Select which payment methods you accept: cash, card, Venmo/Zelle, or check.
4

Review and publish

Review your listing, make any edits, and click Publish. Your farm is now live on Bhumi.

What appears publicly on the consumer map

When customers browse the Bhumi map, they can see:
  • Your farm name and type
  • Your city and state (not your full address by default)
  • Your tagline and farm description
  • Photos you’ve uploaded
  • Farming practices you’ve selected
  • Product categories you offer
  • Your contact info and social links
  • Your hours of operation
  • Your delivery and payment options
The more complete your profile, the higher it ranks in local search results. Fill in every section for the best visibility.

Going live

After you publish, your farm appears immediately on the consumer map and can be discovered by customers in your area. You’ll receive a welcome email and be taken to your dashboard. From the dashboard you can:
  • Add individual products with prices and stock status
  • Manage incoming orders
  • Edit your listing at any time from the Profile section
  • Set up payment processing via the Settings section
If you need to temporarily hide your farm from the map without deleting it, contact Bhumi support. You can update your listing, products, and hours at any time without taking your farm offline.
