Bhumi lets you save farms you like, manage them in custom lists, and place orders directly with farms that support online ordering. You can track every order and view your full order history from the Orders tab.

Signing in

Saving favorites and placing orders both require a Bhumi account. If you’re not signed in, the Favorites and Orders pages show a sign-in prompt.
You can browse farms, read profiles, and explore the map without signing in. An account is only required when you want to save a farm or place an order.

Saving a farm

A heart icon appears on every farm card and at the top of every farm profile. Tap it to save that farm to your favorites. Tap it again to remove the farm. You can favorite a farm from:
  • The map view (compact card in the list or on the pin preview)
  • Any farm card on the home screen (Nearby Farms, Top Rated, and other sections)
  • The farm’s profile page
Saved farms appear on your My Farms page (the Favorites tab).

My Farms page

The My Farms page shows every farm you’ve saved as a favorite, plus any farm you’ve placed an order with. These are grouped together so you have one place to follow all the farms you care about. At the top of the page, you’ll see a count of how many farms you know.

What’s new

If any of your saved farms have posted recent updates, they appear in a What’s new section at the top of the list. Each update card shows:
  • The farmer’s photo (or the farm image) and name
  • The farm location
  • The text of the latest update and how long ago it was posted
Tap any update card to open that farm’s full profile.

Farm cards

Below the updates section, each saved farm appears as a card with the farm photo, name, location, and tagline. Cards are also tagged to show how you’re connected to that farm:
  • No badge — you’ve favorited the farm
  • Ordered badge — you’ve placed an order with this farm
  • Heart + bag badge — you’ve both favorited and ordered from this farm
Tap the heart on a card to remove it from your favorites. Tap the card itself to open the farm profile.

Organizing farms into lists

You can create custom lists to organize your saved farms — for example, “Raw Milk Farms” or “Weekend Markets.”
1

Create a list

Tap the + button in the list tabs bar at the top of the My Farms page. Type a name (up to 50 characters) and tap Create.
2

Add a farm to a list

Open a farm’s profile and tap the heart icon to save it. Then, within the My Farms page, use the heart button on the farm card to add it to a specific list.
3

Switch between lists

Tap any list pill in the tabs bar to filter your farms to that list. Tap All to return to the full view.
4

Rename or delete a list

When a list is selected, tap the three-dot menu that appears next to the list name. Choose Rename to edit the name, or Delete list to remove it. Deleting a list does not remove the farms from your favorites.

Placing an order

Some farms on Bhumi support direct online ordering. On those farm profiles, you’ll see a product listing with prices and a cart or order flow.
Not every farm on Bhumi accepts online orders. Many farms list their contact information so you can reach out directly. Online ordering is available only on farms that have set up products and fulfillment options through Bhumi.

Choosing fulfillment

When you place an order, you’ll choose how to receive it:
You collect your order directly from the farm or a designated pickup location. The farm profile shows available pickup days and times. Some farms include specific pickup instructions.

Payment

Payment options vary by farm. Your order card shows how payment is handled:
  • Paid online — you pay at checkout using a card through Stripe.
  • Pay at pickup — you pay when you collect your order. Farms may accept cash, card, or other methods listed on their profile.

Adding a note

During checkout, you can add a note to your order — for example, a special request or substitution preference.

Viewing your orders

Tap Orders in the navigation to see your order history. Your 50 most recent orders appear here, with the newest first. Each order card shows:
  • The farm name, photo, and location
  • Your order number (formatted as BHU-YYYYMMDD-XXXX)
  • The current order status
  • Fulfillment type (Pickup or Delivery) and payment status
  • Delivery address (for delivery orders)
  • Order total and any delivery fee
  • The date the order was placed
  • Your scheduled pickup time, if one was set
Tap View order details on any card to see the full breakdown of items, quantities, prices, and your note.

Order statuses

Every order moves through a defined set of statuses. Active orders show a progress indicator with four steps: Pending → Confirmed → Ready → Complete.

Pending

Your order has been placed. The farm has not yet confirmed it. You can edit quantities or cancel at this stage.

Confirmed

The farm has confirmed your order and is preparing it.

Ready

Your order is ready. For pickup orders, this means you can collect it. For delivery orders, it means it’s on the way or ready to be dispatched.

Completed

The order is complete. You’ll be prompted to leave a rating for the farm.

Cancelled

The order was cancelled — either by you or the farm. If the farm cancelled it, a reason may be shown on the order card.

Editing a pending order

While an order is in Pending status, you can adjust it before the farm confirms.
1

Open your orders

Go to the Orders tab.
2

Tap Edit Order

Find the pending order and tap Edit Order in the order footer.
3

Adjust quantities

Use the + and − buttons to change item quantities. Reducing a quantity to zero removes that item from your order.
4

Update your note

Edit the note field if you need to change your special request.
5

Save changes

Tap Save Changes. The updated total is shown before you confirm. If you reduce all items to zero, saving will cancel the order.
You can only edit an order while it’s in Pending status. Once the farm confirms your order, it can no longer be modified.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel a pending order from the Orders tab.
1

Find the pending order

Go to the Orders tab and locate the order you want to cancel.
2

Tap Cancel Order

Tap Cancel Order in the order footer.
3

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation prompt appears. Tap Yes, cancel to proceed, or No to go back.
Cancellation is only available for orders in Pending status. If your order has been confirmed, contact the farm directly to discuss cancellation.

Rating a completed order

After an order is marked complete, a rating prompt appears on the order card. You can leave a star rating and an optional comment. Your rating helps the Bhumi community understand the quality and reliability of each farm. If you’ve already submitted a rating, it’s shown on the completed order card in place of the prompt.
